新诗坛的律魂 ---《黄淮自律体小诗选》（汉英双语）编译后记任雨玲
伟大的文学家、思想家、革命家鲁迅先生说：“中国自古以来，就有埋头苦干的人，就有拼命硬干的人，就有为民请命的人，就有舍身求法的人。他们是中国的脊梁。”
新诗中国，百年探索，在中国诗歌这片热土上同样也不乏有此人，他们乃是中国诗歌的脊梁。
由天津外国语大学外国语言文学文化研究中心、《世界诗学》编辑部与中国现代格律诗学会合作推出《当代华文诗家双语精萃大系》之《雅园诗家双语精萃》中的《黄淮自律体小诗选》（汉英双语）终于落下帷幕。该部双语诗集是由著名诗人、格律新诗专家黄淮先生著，著名翻译家、语言学家赵彦春教授主译，任雨玲译校，它历时八个月的翻译工作，从黄淮先生一千多首自律体新诗中精心提炼出来共180首。
著名诗人、诗评家李长空在他的《一生一行生命——黄淮诗歌印象》一文中写道”黄淮不仅是格律体新诗的积极鼓吹者，提出了从“千篇一律”的“共律体”到“一诗一律”的“自律体”的格律体新诗理论，也是格律体新诗的有力组织者，发起创立中国现代格律诗学会并担任学会常务副会长兼秘书长暨会刊《现代格律诗坛》总编，还是格律体新诗的辛勤耕耘者，从上世纪八十年代起便致力于九言格律诗、微型格律诗和自律体格律诗的探索与创作实践。此外，他还曾经于上世纪九０年代提出建造一座集中华诗文化之大成的“中华诗园”构想的创意，在诗坛引起广泛反响。
黄淮先生主张“以诗开慧，以爱塑魂；以律立体，以意传神；律随情移，体缘律立；以律为纲，振兴新诗。”（《黄淮诗宣言》）。他的诗歌，有的戴着镣铐跳舞，有的伴着心声的节律载歌载舞，但都注重内容，意蕴饱满。
新诗格律专家周仲器老先生在《自律与共律：雅园诗派新格律诗的创作实绩》中这样评价黄淮先生“他继承了闻一多自由创新的格律思想，为普及新格律诗找到了一条新蹊径。”、“他的一生同时致力于诗歌形式的探索，可以赞叹的是他总是坚持不懈，追求创新。”、“综观他的新格律诗的全局，他是站在新诗的基座上，向民歌与古典诗歌学习，继承汉语格律诗的优良传统，又向外国格律诗借鉴而成就的民族化的新诗体。有自律体、共律体，有齐言体、长短句体，以格律体、准格律体为主，也有一部分半格律体，这是与他的泛律诗观相吻合的。”
译诗高超地体现了“信达雅”的原则，攫取译海浪花之瑰宝，采摘译林璀璨之明珠，使得中西方诗歌韵律意蕴流畅，韵味隽永，是现代汉语新格律诗领域里第二部双语诗集，也是自律体新诗领域第一部双语诗集。她的诞生标志着新诗格律中的自律体开始走上世界，引领新诗格律新潮流，她的推出具有深远的历史意义。
正可谓是新诗坛的律魂：
“墨淡浓香韵，诗精踏律铿；
青山添雅意，瀚海诉衷情。”

Lu Xun, a great literati, thinker and revolutionist, once said: since ancient times, there have been many people who are diligent, industrious and can sacrifice themselves to the mass and country. They are the backbone of our country.
“The new Chinese poetry, decades’ exploration”.China, with a passion for poetry, has no shortage of people who are the backbone of Chinese new poetry.
The Anthology of Huang Huai’s Idioprosodic Compositions (A Bilingual Collection), one of the Bilingual Treasure of Elegance Garden Collections, which is one of the series of “Bilingual Gems of Modern Chinese Poets” that has been completed by the co-effort of Foreign Language Literature and Culture Research Centre, Tianjin Foreign Studies University, the editorial office of World Poetics and the Modern Chinese Metrical Poetry Society. The bilingual collection is of works composed by Mr. Huang Huai, a noted poet and expert of new metrical poetry, translated by Mr. Zhao Yanchun, a noted translator and linguist and proofread by Ren Yunling. The anthology, which took eight months to accomplish, includes 180 poems from more than one thousand new metrical poems composed by Mr. Huang Huai
Mr. Li Changkong, a noted poet and poetry critic, in his book Life, a Journey----the Impression of Huang Huai’s Poetry writes “Huang Huai is the advocator, organizer and cultivator of new metrical poetry.”He puts forward a new theory of new metrical poems—from one meter of all poems to one meter one poem. He organized the Modern Chinese Metrical Poetry Society, and holds the positions of vice president and secretary general, and the chief editor of “the New Metrical poetry”. Since the 1980s Mr. Huang has been devoting himself to the exploration and the creation of major metrical poems, minor metrical poems and idioprosodic metrical poems. In addition, in the 1990s he put forward the idea of the construction of “the Chinese Poetry Garden” that represents the Chinese poetic culture, which has provoked a great repercussion.
Mr. Huang Huai advocates “Wind of poetic wisdom, soul of romantic Eros，Form of proper scansion，Air of sublime pathos，With rhythmic melody，With regular scheming，Scansion suiting emotion，One creation one scheme，My own poem my own rhyme，For new poetry to thrive”. (Huang Huai’s Declaration of Metrical Poetry) His poems, dancing with chains or with the rhyme of heart, emphasize the content and connotations.
Mr. Zhou Zhongqi, an expert of new metrical poetry in his book, Free Style and Fixed Style—Achievements of the Elegance Garden Society New Metrical Poetry, appraises Mr. Huang like this: “he inherits the thought of free and creative meter, brought up by Mr. Wen Yiduo, and seeks to find a new way for the new metrical poetry.” “He devotes his life to the exploration of poetic form persistently and innovatively.” “To get an appreciation of the new metrical poetry as a whole, Mr. Huang created the new national metrical poetry based on the new poetry, classic poetry and folk songs, the tradition of Chinese metrical poetry and the merits of the foreign metrical poetry. There are free metrical verses, fixed metrical verses, neat verses and lyrics and most of them are based on meter and some are on half-meter, which is according to his thought of Pan-metrical poetry.
This translation of Huang Huai’s poems embodies the principle of faithfulness. expressiveness and elegance, which tries to absorb the best of best translations to furnish Chinese and western poetry with meaningful connotations. This is the second anthology of the modern Chinese new metrical poetry and the first anthology of the new idioprosody. It marks the point that the idioprosody of the new metrical poetry walks onto the world stage and leads the new trend of the new meter. The far-reaching significance lies in the soul of the new metrical poetry:
The ink balm beams the fair rhyme
The poems fine gleams the meter prime
Green hill does the grace milieu sheen
Vast sea shares the love, love serene

It is not easy to translate the whole idea of the old tranditional peoms from Chinese into Engelish. You did a great job.
