昨夜电波送来紫丁香
引我回到心中的雨巷
重逢那位牵魂的姑娘
化解千年的愁绪忧伤
清晨来到桂湖看丁香
向着海峡那边久久望
刺骨的寒风扑打脸庞
丁香静静化开了冰霜
轻轻折一枝埋在心上
萌发年复年袅袅芬芳
飘过那条浅浅的海峡
做我生生世世的红娘

Last night the electric wave sent me alilac
It led me to return to A rain lane inmyheart
Again Imet the girl whom I missedverymuch
Ithasmeltmygloomandgriefofathousandyears
I came to the Osmanthus Lake to see the lilac in the morn
While I gazed at the Taiwan Strait for a long long time
Though the piercing cold wind is beating my face
The lilac is melting the ice and frost on both banks of the Strait
I will snap off the lilac and bury it in my heart
It will come into fragrant bud year after year
The aroma will waft across that shallow Strait
And that will be my match-maker all my life
