Standing on the shore of the Yangtze tonight,
Singing in one voice about the moon in our hearts
Let Mid-Autumn moonlight in the river
Dissolve 60 years' pain of parting on both lands.
Our kinsfolk in Taiwan, please come to the Yangtze
To pick up the glitter of waves in the river,
Written all over with the same wish for China,
Which are lighting up on our hearts.
Our kinsfolk in Taiwan, please look yonder hand in hand,
Watching the same moon in the sky over China.
One end is the mainland, the other end is Taiwan,
The moonlight ties you and us together.
