满怀着宏图大志
怎奈流落他乡
叹千年后依旧闪光的思想
却照不亮那唐时的宫阙殿堂

I walk into the Du Fu's thatched cottage
to pursue the poet-sage's dream of serving his country
he was filled with great ambitions and aspirations
yet always led a wretched life far from his hometown
I sigh for his ideas that still shine even after a thousand years
yet they can't light up the palaces of the Tang Dynasty


如今人日
柴门内外万人敬仰
更有那才俊佳人
踏破寒风斜阳
舞文泼墨留下了多少文章
高唱低吟着千年的悲喜忧伤

today, the seventh day of the first lunar month
he's admired by so many people by the wooden gate
those handsome scholars and pretty women
come here with the cold wind and the setting sun
they show off literary skills and write so many articles
sing and chant the timeless joys and sorrows
