昨夜电波送来紫丁香
引我回到心中的雨巷
重逢那位牵魂的姑娘
化解千年的愁绪忧伤
清晨来到桂湖看丁香
向着海峡那边久久望
刺骨的寒风扑打脸庞
丁香静静化开了冰霜
轻轻折一枝埋在心上
萌发年复年袅袅芬芳
飘过那条浅浅的海峡
做我生生世世的红娘

----Congratulations to the First Issue of Lilac Poetry Periodical

Last night some shock wave sent me a lilac
And led me to my cherished rainy lane
To meet again that girl e'er recurring
As melts away my age-old gloom and pain
On Lake Osmanthus I saw lilac this morn
While I gazed at the Taiwan Strait , so lost
Though the piercing wind was bIting my face
The lilac did thaw the Strait off ice and frost
Snap off a lilac, hide it in your heart,
And It will burst into fragrance each year
Which wafts across that shallow, shallow Strait,
Oh be my match maker, ne'er disappear.
